The firm supplies detection and suppression systems for MRAP vehicles.
Spectronix Ltd. (TASE: SPCT) has won a further $2 million order from the US Army for the supply of spare parts for systems installed in mine-resistant ambush protected all-terrain vehicles (MRAP-ATV). The Sderot-based company makes optical sensors for the detection of fire, gas, and explosives, as well as suppression systems.
Spectronix is also in talks with a logistics company that works for the US Army for the supply of additional spare parts in a year's time. This order could be at least as large as the present order.
Spectronix also won a separate $700,000 order from a European shipyard for its damage control and fire suppression systems for military ships. Deliveries will be made over three years.
Spectronix's share rose 3% today to NIS 11.05.
