Israel Petroleum Group applies for license

The group says the Aliyah license area it has chosen has a number of promising exploration plays.

The Israel Petroleum Group (IPG) has announced that it submitted the Aliyah license application to the Ministry of National Infrastructures on Tuesday. The group said that initial analysis showed that the Aliyah license area it has chosen has a number of promising exploration plays. IPG’s work plan is to shoot and analyze additional seismic lines to identify the most advantageous well site and then to commence with drilling.

IPG's principals include Col. Shalom Ben Chamu (Ret.), Adam Tannenbaum, chairman of The Integrated Elements (TIE), Gavriel Becker, and Dr. Simcha Baker, formerly Exploration Manager/Chief Geologist for the Israel National Oil Company. Dr. Baker has spent the last 18 years analyzing Israel's geology. “By researching the Geology of Israel on a regional scale, a number of potentially large oil and natural gas trends have presented themselves,” he said.

IPG is in partnership with The Integrated Elements, a US-based oil/natural gas exploration company.
