Tene in talks to buy arthroscopic co TAG

Kibbutz Gaaton owned TAG Medical Products develops arthroscopic surgical equipment.

Sources inform "Globes" that mid-tech private investment fund Tene Investments is in talks to buy kibbutz company TAG Medical Products Ltd. TAG is owned by Kibbutz Gaaton in the Western Galilee.

TAG was previously in talks with Biomedix Incubator Ltd. (TASE:BMDX) to sell its entire operations for NIS 90 million.

TAG produces and markets arthroscopic surgical equipment and is considered a stable and successful kibbutz company.

Talks with Biomedix failed in the early stages not because of the company's NIS 90 million price tag, but because of disagreements over control of the company after the deal.

TAG chairman Amnon Neubach said, "TAG continues to work. We have financial strength and we are not looking for partners. If there will be interesting offers we will consider them.

Tene Investments and Biomedix Incubator declined to comment.
