Audiocodes deploys IP telephony platform in Korea

Acromate has deployed AudioCodes' Mediant 800 multi-service platform as a single-box IP telephony platform for Korea Telecom.

VoIP technology and products developer AudioCodes Ltd. (Nasdaq: AUDC; TASE: AUDC) said that its new generation small and mid-sized business multi-service platform was been bought and deployed by Acromate Inc., a vendor of multimedia communication solutions to KT Corporation (NYSE: KTC; KRX: 030200) (Korea Telecom). AudioCodes did not disclose the size of the deal.

Acromate has deployed AudioCodes' Mediant 800 multi-service platform as a single-box IP telephony platform for Korea Telecom, to provide integrated IP telephony services for KT's small and mid-sized business customers. The platform offers a combination of a media gateway, secure router, session border controller, and a separate, but integrated, server platform.

AudioCodes' share price fell 0.8% on Nasdaq yesterday to $4.90, giving a market cap of $199 million, and was unchanged at NIS 17.85 in early trading on the TASE today.
