Netanyahu refuses to talk to protesters

The prime minister said that the protesters were welcome to talk to Minister of Finance Yuval Steinitz.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening that he is not prepared to negotiate with the protesters, or even meet with them. However, while he is not ready to hold talks directly with them, he said that they were "invited to talk to Minister of Finance Yuval Steinitz."

Earlier today Netanyahu had told a meeting of the Likud faction in the Knesset that, "The claims being made on the streets are justified and therefore we need to deal with it but without harming the business sector."
