Farmigo, Shaker reach TechCrunch Disrupt final

Farmigo has developed a platform that shortens the supply chain by skipping over food retailers, while Shaker has developed a Facebook app - where each person has a virtual character.

Farmigo Ltd. and Shaker reached the TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield 2011 final, while Tonara Ltd. dropped out. Farmigo and Shaker will now compete against the five other finalists out of the 31 competitors.

Industry sources believe that Farmigo has a good chance of winning this year's top prize because of its persuasive presentation. Farmigo has developed a platform that shortens the supply chain by skipping over food retailers that act as an intermediary.

Shaker has developed a Facebook app - a virtual bar, where each person has a virtual character that moves around in a bar and can speak with other people and join existing conversations.
