Rami Levy operates cheapest online supermarket

Mega is the most expensive, with Shufersal and Yainot Bitan in between.

A survey by mySupermarket for "Globes" of 15 items that can be purchased at the online sites of four supermarkets found that Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006 Ltd. (TASE:RMLI) is the cheapest and Mega the most expensive.

Rami Levy's pilot allows online shopping at its supermarkets in Ramat Gan, Ramat Hasharon, and Hadar Yosef. The basket of 15 products cost NIS 118 at Rami Levy, NIS 160 at both Shufersal Ltd. (TASE:SAE) and Yainot Bitan, and NIS 187 at Mega, owned by Alon Holdings Blue Square - Israel Ltd. (NYSE: BSI; TASE: BSI),

The 15 products include a 200-gram jar of Taster's Choice instant coffee, a one-liter bottle of Tirosh grape juice, one-kilogram packages of Sugat's Persian rice and basmati rice, a one-liter bottle of canola oil, a 750-gram bottle of Osem ketchup, a 750-gram jar of Nutella, a 500-gram container of Shachar chocolate spread, a 1.5-liter bottle of Coca-Cola, a 1-liter container of 1% milk, butter, canned corn, canned olives, and tomato paste.
