Air Berlin doubles weekly Tel Aviv flights

In early June, Lufthansa added two weekly flights on its Berlin-Tel Aviv route, on Saturday and Sunday.

Air Berlin will double the weekly flights on its Berlin-Tel Aviv route to six, beginning at the end of June, as the airline's competition against Lufthansa on the route intensifies.

In early June, Lufthansa added two weekly flights on its Berlin-Tel Aviv route, on Saturday and Sunday. The carrier also makes fourteen weekly flights on its Frankfurt-Tel Aviv route and five weekly flights on its Munich-Tel Aviv route. El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) and Israir Airlines and Tourism Ltd. also fly to Berlin.

Air Berlin is Germany' second largest carrier, after Lufthansa. Starting prices, including taxes for a one-way trip begin at $159, or $142 if booked on the airline's website.
