Mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Alon Cellular Ltd., which operates under the YouPhone label, is launching a free unlimited calls package for Alon Israel Oil Company Ltd. club members who also have the You credit card holders, or NIS 59 per month for Alon club members who charge at least NIS 1,500 a month on spuermarket and fuel purchases.
The You credit card is jointly issued by Israel Credit Cards-Cal Ltd. (ICC-Cal) (Visa) and Alon Group, for use at its Mega brand supermarkets and Dor Alon Energy in Israel (1988) Ltd. (TASE:DRAL) gas stations and convenience stores.
Alon Cellular's unlimited calls plan costs NIS 109 per month for people who are not Alon club members.
Alon Cellular is hosted by Orange franchisee Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR). Following the launch of new mobile carriers HOT Mobile Ltd. and Golan Telecom Ltd., which changed the market with unlimited calls plans for under NIS 100 a month, Alon Cellular opened talks with Partner to sell an unlimited calls plan of its own. Partner has also launched a new brand, 012 Mobile, which offers low-cost unlimited calls plans.
Alon Cellular is offering a unique plan to buyers of its products through sister company Mega, offering them discounts on mobile services. Alon Cellular is now offering three plans: NIS 79 per month for Mega shoppers who spend NIS 800-1,499 a month; NIS 59 per month for Mega shoppers with a company credit card, or for shoppers who spend at least NIS 1,500 a month; and zero for shoppers who also have the You Card credit card.
