British Airways will increase the number of seats on its Tel Aviv-London route by 11%. At a press conference today, British Airways Israel manager Yael Katan announced that, beginning on October 28, the airline will operate three daily flights between Ben Gurion Airport and Heathrow, up from two daily flights. The carrier offers passengers additional follow-on options to destinations in Britain and the world.
British Airways will replace its older Boeing 767 and 777s used on the Tel Aviv-London route with the Airbus A321, which has a higher fuel efficiency and better passenger comfort. The Airbus A321 will have economy and business class, but no first class.
Swiss will also increase the number of seats on its Zurich-Tel Aviv route by 6% for the winter season, operating two daily flights using new wide-bodied Airbus A330s, for a total of fourteen weekly flights. The A330 can carry 236 passengers, 53 in business class and 183 in tourist class.
