The average gross national salary of Israeli employees rose by an annualized rate of 3% in May-July 2012 to NIS 9,194, after rising by an annualized 1.1% in February-April, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported today.
The number of salaried employees rose by an annualized 1.7% in May-July to 3,156,000 persons, after rising by an annualized 2% in the preceding three months.
The average salary of Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) (TASE: ELEC.B22) and Mekorot National Water Company employees was NIS 24,000 in July, followed by NIS 15,500 for financial sector employees, NIS 13,700 for public sector employees, and NIS 12,800 for manufacturing employees. The average salary in education was NIS 8,000.
