Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) Brazilian subsidiary Ares Aeroespacial e Defensa Ltda. has won an initial $25 million order to supply its 12.7/7.62mm remote controlled weapon stations, named Remax, to the Brazilian Army over two years. The Remax is a unique development of Ares.

The Brazilian Army will use the Remax remote controlled stations for 12.7mm and 7.62mm machine guns platforms in armored personnel carriers and logistics and other vehicles used in combat, border patrol and peace keeping missions.

Elbit System said that this was its second Brazilian contract in a month, after another Brazilian subsidiary AEL Sistemas SA won a $15 million order to supply unmanned turrets to the Brazilian Army.
