El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) will compensate passengers stranded during the two-day strike earlier this week. In its apology, the airline said that it will give all passengers whose flight was cancelled and no alternative solution was found a coupon to one of its European destinations.
El Al and Israel's other airlines, Arkia Airlines Ltd. and Israir Airlines and Tourism Ltd. went on strike on Sunday to protest the government's approval of the Open Skies agreement with the EU. The strike ended Monday night, after a deal was reached with the government, which will cover the airlines' security costs.
