New Alcatel-Lucent CEO to visit Israel

Michel Combes is coming to Israel to review Alcatel-Lucent's Israeli R&D center, its sales and marketing unit, and its CloudBand unit.

New Alcatel-Lucent SA (NYSE; Euronext: ALU) CEO Michel Combes will make his first visit to Israel in September to personally review the company's operations in the country, especially the R&D activity that it established, and which employs hundreds of people. Combes (51) took up the post in April, succeeding Ben Verwaayen, who held the job for five years.

Combes is coming to Israel to review Alcatel-Lucent's Israeli R&D center, its sales and marketing unit, headed by Haim Teichholtz, and its CloudBand unit, headed by Dor Skular, which provides cloud services for communications providers. Alcatel-Lucent has marked CloudBand as one of its foci in its restructuring. Combes will meet Israeli telecommunications executives, start-up executives, venture capitalists, and government officials.
