Cofix to open 5 more branches by February

The cafe chain will open more branches in Tel Aviv, Givatayim, Rishon Lezion and Netanya.

Several weeks after announcing plans to open 50 branches around the country, cafe chain Cofix has said that five new branches will open within three months.

Two new branches will open in Tel Aviv in Rehov Ha'arba'a, and the corner of Yehuda Halevi and Herzl Streets, the first of which will open in two weeks.

Three more branches will open in Netanya, Givatayim and Rishon Lezion. The chain says that over NIS 2 million will be invested in opening the five new branches. Previously the cafe chain estimated that it would be investing only NIS 300-350 million per outlet.

Last month, Cofix sent shock waves through Israel's cafe sector by selling take-away coffee and other items of food and drink at just NIS 5 each. Since then the chain claims it has sold 150,000 items of food and drink.
