Check Point's solution can provide 100% safe files in one second.

Internet and information security company Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP) is launching a new solution, called Threat Extraction, designed to neutralize the risk of malware within an especially short time.

While antivirus programs deal with known viruses, other system also succeed in detecting new ones, but their success rate is not 100%, and they are slow. A study by Check Point found that 84% of companies had downloaded files containing malware in 2013.

Check Point's new solution reconstructs documents with known safe elements after extracting objects liable to be utilized by malware.

Check Point asserts that 100% safe files can be obtained at a record speed of one second. The original file is simultaneously checked in a controlled environment, and if it is found not to include malware, the user is allowed access to it.

Check Point VP products Dorit Dor says, "With Check Point Threat Extraction, organizations can now defend their networks against threats with a radical new technology that delivers 100% safe documents immediately."

Cofounded by chairman and CEO Gil Shwed, Check Point is traded at a $15.2 billion market cap.
