Spikko provides users many numbers from different countries on one smartphone device, with one SIM, using GSM technology.

Israeli multi-line calling services company Spikko Telecom has raised $1 million from private investors, in order to scale-up its multi-line solution for small businesses.

Spikko's solution lets users enjoy several phone numbers on one smartphone device, with one SIM, using GSM technology. All leading device manufacturers now offer dual-SIM devices, but users still need to invest in purchasing those high-end devices which are not problem-free and still limit the user to two lines. The Spikko solution offers a disruptive alternative, allowing users to simply get more from their existing device and SIM.

The financing round will enable Spikko to go to market with their solution, offering it to the small-office-home-office (SOHO) segment that can greatly benefit from this multi-line solution, achieving a virtual office, anywhere in the world, instantly.

Spikko enables SOHO users to become global by purchasing numbers from 60 countries (for as low as $4/ month) and calling around 200 countries around the world. In many virtual Spikko lines, SMS capabilities are also available.

With the Spikko multi-line solution, subscribers can purchase as many numbers as needed, and all numbers are forwarded to one SIM number, as defined by the user (no internet data is required for calling or receiving calls, data is needed for initial configuration or changes only). Using Spikko, business people can enjoy dedicated local or international numbers, making it easy and friendly for customers around the world to reach them. They can also publish the additional numbers on websites, business cards and other promotional materials.

The Spikko multi-line solution also includes an identity management mechanism, so when subscribers make a call using the Spikko Android or iPhone app, they can choose which caller ID appears on the phone screen of the call recipient, so the call is received at the right context. Another important feature for businesses is call recording.

Spikko CEO Shai Benarzi said, "Spikko was warmly accepted by early adopters who immediately understood its unique value around multi-line capabilities. We are thrilled to now be able to take Spikko to the next level, bringing it to a larger audience, SOHO business owners. This is the first step in our long term vision of providing this segment with a full communication suite that's tailored to their needs, and their budgets."
