The Massad-Ravid Interchange will ease traffic congestion on Highway 65.

The Ministry of Transport and the Netivei Israel Transport Infrastructure Company announced this week that the new Massad-Ravid Interchange has been opened for traffic. The interchange is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion along the road and enable drivers to merge into Highway 65 safely and quickly.

The interchange includes a 60 meter long and 12 meter wide bridge, placed 6 meters above Highway 65.The bridge was built using beam construction; each beam weighs about 80 tons and includes three supporting abutments.

This is the seventh interchange opened for traffic, out of eight interchanges along the project's route - from the Golani Interchange to Amiad Junction - at an overall cost of NIS 1.2 billion. So far, an overall 24 km of road sections have been opened for traffic in their end-state configuration, as two-lane, dual carriageway roads.
