The hottest high-tech sectors, according to Jobinfo, are auto-tech, cyber security, augmented reality (AR) and digital health. Salaries for vacancies range from NIS 18,000 - NIS 40,000.

Demand for labor and salaries in Israeli high tech are booming, according to figures from high-tech placement company Jobinfo for the first five months of 2017. The hottest high-tech sectors are auto-tech and augmented reality (AR).

Salaries for cyber employees vary from NIS 18,000 to NIS 40,000, depending on experience.

Demand is rising for high-tech working in all sectors. Demand rose by 124% in software, 169% in hardware and multidisciplinary, 69% in Internet, and 83% in biomed.

Jobinfo Placement Director Sarit Malka-Lieberman commented, "It's like science fiction. The stampede of Israeli companies to develop technology for the autonomous vehicle, AR, and cyber is picking up steam. The entire world is connected to the Internet, mobile, and the social networks, and innumerable data about us that are being exposed require change in consciousness and behavior. As a result of these changes, there is a growing demand for developers/algorithm personnel in cyber, big data, cameras, lasers, sensors, etc."

"The hot reality of high tech"

AR technologies are regarded as the next technological revolution. They make it possible to add virtual objects to the dimension of our reality by being merged with the real environment, in real time, and intuitively, and enable us to interact with them. AR technology integrates physical eyeglasses, and therefore requires multidisciplinary developers who can integrate software, hardware, UI/UX expertise, and graphic design. Workers in the field earn between NIS 22,000 and NIS 36,000 a month.

Another hotspot is the autonomous vehicle sector. Demand for Israeli auto-tech technology is extremely high, especially following the Mobileye's (NYSE: MBLY) impressive $15.5 billion exit. The demand for employees in companies developing related technologies and core technologies for the autonomous vehicle and drone sector is still growing. The professions in demand are algorithms personnel; researchers and developers specializing in computer vision, machine learning, and navigation and monitoring. Salaries in the sector vary from NIS 20,000 to NIS 40,000 a month.

Digital health - Medical information analysis

$183 million was invested in digital health in 2016, 30% more than in 2015. As of now, there are 385 active companies in this sector in Israel. The digital health sector is broad, including personal platforms for personal health management (mainly apps) that enable private individuals to monitor and manage their health with doctors and systems. The platforms streamline the work of hospitals, medical centers, and laboratories, as well as sensory wearables (the use of accessories and items of clothing, such as shirts and helmets) for monitoring a medical situation. Collecting all the information from these tools has led to companies specializing in development of analytic tools for medical information analysis.

According to Jobinfo specialists, these companies are now looking for candidates with experience in developing algorithms for deep learning, machine learning, and image processing. In addition, the demand for candidates with experience in big data development is increasing. Salaries in the sector vary from NIS 20,000 to NIS 36,000 a month.
