Apple Watch to reach Israel only in 2016

Due to a global shortage, the watch is slated for sale first by Israel's mobile phone operators.

The Apple Computers smart watch has only just been launched, and Israelis are already awaiting its going on sale in Israel. A senior cellular industry source told "Globes" that as of now, the watch is scheduled to arrive in Israel only at the beginning of next year, while Apple is already talking with the cellular operators and other official importers about putting it on sale.

Another and probably even less positive surprise is that due to a global shortage of the watches, the watch is slated for sale first by Israel's mobile phone operators, and only afterwards in computer and cellular stores. It appears that in case of supply problems, Apple prefers a launch through the operators. Apple may also prefer to refrain from discrimination against its other official importers by releasing watches to everyone simultaneously. In a conversation with one of the official importers, Apple promised that the launch in Israel will occur simultaneously at all of the stories and companies.

Sales of the Apple Watch began last week in a number of countries: the US, the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, France, and China. The watch makes it possible to read messages from an iPhone while talking on the phone. It also includes a WiFi connection enabling the user to make calls from anywhere in his home, and can also be used to control music from an iPhone, make payments using the PayPal service, and to operate the Siri intelligent personal assistant.
