Cellcom said the problem was limited to the north and Ben Gurion Airport, but Golan Telecom said Tel Aviv was affected.
A malfunction in the Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) network is also affecting subscribers of Golan Telecom, which uses Cellcom's infrastructure. In recent hours, customers of both companies are having trouble making and receiving calls. Golan Telecom notified its customers that due to the problems at Cellcom, "Some of you are likely to experience availability problems," and apologized for the inconvenience.
Cellcom said, "At specific points in the north and Ben Gurion Airport, it is difficult to make calls." Golan Telecom did not state that the malfunction was limited to specific areas. The company's customers in Tel Aviv reported they were unable to make or receive calls.
