Cyber co Titanium Core wins $1m JVP prize

The company won the first JVP Cybertition cyber-security start up competition.

Cyber start-up Titanium Core Ltd. has won the first Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) Cybertition cyber-security startup competition at the RSA Conference in San Francisco. It will receive an investment of $1 million and a place in the JVP Cyber Labs in Beersheva. Titanium Core beat three other finalists out of 35 participants.

Titanium Core utilizes a multilayered security approach to repel attacks on mission-critical systems, while simultaneously preventing the threat from moving on to other computer systems and providing real time information on the attack. The company was founded by Yuval Elovici, the head of the Cyber Security Lab at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, CTO Dudu Mimram, a former CTO of Deutsche Telekom Labs in Israel, and Mordechai Guri.

"Our patented technology can provide an unbreakable security layer around core, mission-critical systems," said Mimram. "This funding along with the guidance of the Cyber Labs incubator will allow us to bring our vision to market and ensure that this technology can be utilized to protect the world's critical IT assets."

"The quality and innovative nature of the startups in our Cybertition attests to Israel's growing role as the global hub for cyber-security innovation," said JVP Cyber Labs partner Dr. Nimrod Kozlovski.
