Workers have caused delays by lengthening the takeoff time margins between flights.
There have been disruptions at Ben Gurion Airport this morning after the workers committee announced that it had lengthened the takeoff time margins between flights. Consequently delays are expected in outbound flights and later in the day in inbound flights as well.
There is speculation that this latest action is an attempt to put on the agenda various issues regarding the workers new collective agreement that is due to be signed between the Histadrut General Federation of Labor and the Ministry of Finance by 2017 at the latest.
In order to prevent inconvenience to the public, Ben Gurion airport's management has petitioned the labor court and appealed to the Histadrut.
The Histadrut said in response that no organized action is being taken at Ben Gurion Airport.
