Forbes: Eyal Ofer is wealthiest Israeli

There were 17 Israelis on "Forbes" 2016 billionaires list including newcomer Adam Neumann.

"Forbes" has published its 2016 list of the world's wealthiest billionaires with 17 Israelis listed in the list of 1,694 billionaires. Eyal Ofer ranked 135 with a fortune of $8.4 billion (up from 156 with $8.5 billion last year and 191 with $7 billion two year ago). French-Israeli telecom tycoon Patrick Drahi, who is this year listed as Swiss, was ranked 205 with wealth of $6.6 billion (down from 57 last year with $16 billion) as telecom tycoons fared badly this year.

Ranked 228 with wealth of $5.6 billion (up from 256 last year also with $5.6 billion and 267 in 2014 with $5.3 billion)) was Stef Wertheimer, and ranked 270 with a fortune of $5.1 billion was Arnon Milchan (up from 301 and $5.1 billion last year and 319 with $4.7 billion in 2014).

Israel's wealthiest woman, ranked 392 with a fortune of $3.9 billion was Shari Arison (down from 369 with wealth of $4.4 billion last year and 319 with $4.7 billion in 2014). Ranked 421 with a fortune of $3.7 billion was Idan Ofer (down from 330 with a fortune of $4.8 billion last year and 244 with $5.6 billion in 2014). Yitzhak Tshuva ranked 638 had wealth of $2.7 billion, (down from 481 and $3.6 billion last year and 520 with $3.1 billion two years ago).

Jumping above Tshuva was Teddy Sagi, 495, with wealth of $3.3 billion and Shaul Shani with wealth of $3.2 billion. The ninth and final Israeli in the top 100 millionaires was Gil Shwed with wealth of $2.2 billion.

There were eight more Israeli billionaires in the list including weWork founder Adam Neumann, ranked 1198, with wealth of $1.5 billion.
