Gasoline prices to rise in Israel Monday night

The maximum price of 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps will rise NIS 0.14 to NIS 6.03 on November 1.

The maximum price of 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps in Israel will rise NIS 0.14 per liter (2.38%), from NIS 5.89 to NIS 6.03 on Monday at midnight, November 1, the Ministry of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources has announced. There will be no change to the NIS 0.19 charge for receiving full-service at pumps from gas station attendants.

Last month gasoline prices fell NIS 0.07, after rising NIS 0.27 per liter at the beginning of September.

In Eilat, where there is no VAT, the maximum price of 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps in Israel will rise by NIS 0.12 per liter, to NIS 5.15 on Monday at midnight. There will be no change to the NIS 0.16 charge for receiving full-service at pumps from gas station attendants.

According to the Ministry of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources, most of the price rise is due to a 6.08% rise in oil prices on world markets over the past month, although a 2.45% depreciation of the shekel against the dollar has also played its part.

The price of fuel in Israel is set according to the price in the last four days of the month at Lavera in France.
