Israeli cyber start-ups accounted for 11% of capital raised by the sector worldwide.

Israeli cyber companies raised $165 million in 2013, 11% of all capital raised by the sector, Israel National Cyber Bureau Dr. Eviatar Matania told the cabinet today.

Matania added that Israeli cyber exports totaled $3 billion in 2013, 5% of the $60 billion global cyber market, and that Israeli cyber exports are triple British cyber exports.

Matania said that multinationals have 20 cyber R&D centers in Israel, and that there are 200 Israeli start-ups in the sector, half of which are new companies. He said that, following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's instruction to foster cyber exports, the team examining the lifting of barriers on cyber exports would soon complete its work.
