Employees are expanding today's strike at post offices in Central Israel.
The Israel Postal Company Ltd. workers committee is planning an open-ended strike of all branches nationwide from Tuesday. This is an extreme step, after post offices in central Israel were closed today because of the labor dispute at the Post Office.
The employees are protesting management's plans to fire 2,000 employees as part of the Post Office's restructuring. The employees say that the move was not coordinated with them.
