Four men have been arrested on suspicion of bribery, fraud, money laundering, and tax violations relating to real estate projects in Netanya.

The suspects arrested yesterday in a raid at the Netanya municipality offices by Israel Police and the Israel Tax Authority were Avraham Tshuva, brother of businessman Yitzhak Tshuva; Tsafrir Feirberg, son of Netanya Mayor Miriam Feirberg; Adv. Avraham Gugig; and architect Gabi Tetro.

The four men were arrested yesterday on suspicion of bribery, fraud, money laundering, and tax violations relating to real estate projects in Netanya.

According to the police announcement yesterday, the undercover investigation, conducted jointly by Israel Police National Fraud Unit Lahav 433 and the Tax Authority with assistance from the Israel Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority and accompanied by the State Attorney's Office Economic Division, established solid grounds for suspicion that parties dealing in construction had engaged in illegal acts at the Netanya municipality aimed at promoting their interests, including giving bribes and benefits to parties in the municipality or closely associated with it, who acted in a conflict of interest and committed a series of fraud and tax violations.

As part of yesterday's raid, police forces and income tax investigators searched the suspects' homes and offices, as well as various offices in the Netanya municipality, and seized documents and material needed in the investigation.

The Netanya municipality said yesterday in response, "The police came to the municipality this morning to collect documents. The municipality is fully cooperating with law enforcement officials. The municipality's activity is continuing as usual."
