Outbrain appoints CTO ahead of Wall Street IPO

Yuval Ben-Itzhak will oversee the expanding team of global engineers building innovative content recommendation products.

Internet content recommendation company Outbrain is preparing for its anticipated Wall Street IPO by appointing Yuval Ben-Itzhak as its CTO. Outbrain recently filed a confidential prospectus to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to raise money at a company value of $1 billion.

Outbrain provides content recommendation to Internet users which is personally suited to each individual user and linked to leading sites such as CNN, Le Monde, ESPN and the New York Post.

Ben-Itzhak spent five years as the CTO at AVG Technologies (NYSE: AVG) and prior to that he had many years of experience as an entrepreneur and senior technical leader at cyber security company Finjan and at Intel. At Outbrain, Ben-Itzhak will oversee the expanding team of global engineers who are building innovative products for publishers and brands.
