The Israel businessman was stopped in his Mercedes leaving Tel Aviv Port and indicted for insulting police.

Weekend social media reports said that when police at a roadblock at the exit from Tel Aviv Port asked a well-known businessman to take a breathalizer test, he refused and behaved insultingly. The businessman involved was Ilan Ben-Dov. Witnesses said that Ben-Dov's friends began photographing and cursing the police officers. In the end, Ben-Dov's license was suspended for 30 days, his Mercedes-Benz was loaded onto a tow-truck, and an indictment was filed against him.

Ben-Dov, one of Israel's leading businessman, and the former controlling shareholder in mobile operator Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR), has suffered severe economic reverses and a difficult divorce from Keren Michaeli in recent years. In comparison, the weekend incident seems of marginal importance.

Ben-Dov declined to respond to the report.
