Israeli company Pyramid Analytics, which develops business intelligence (BI) platforms for corporations, today announced a strategic agreement with Microsoft, including cooperation in both the development of BI products and commercial cooperation, in continuation of the existing cooperation between the companies.
"The cooperation agreement enables organizations to maximize the benefit of the BI solutions by installing an app integrated with the organization's existing infrastructure. One of the prominent advantages of the product is the possibility of a holistic perspective for all the organization's BI systems, combined with personalization for each user and the ability to work simply and intuitively. The solution we are offering makes it possible to reach each end user, from users of simple analytics to analysts and statisticians," says Pyramid Analytics cofounder and CEO Omri Kohl.
According to Kohl, "Our customers come to us in order to expand the BI app and analytical content sharing throughout their organization. Working with Microsoft will enable Power BI Desktop users to transfer directly to the Pyramid Analytics BI systems in order to promote lateral cooperation, based on the BI content."
Microsoft BI specialist Amir Netz adds, "Pyramid Analytics is presenting technology that complements Microsoft SQL Server Analysis services, and utilizes all the features offered in Microsoft BI products. Pyramid Analytics has proven experience in cooperating with Microsoft in the providing of analytic solutions for the solution of our joint customers' needs."
The cooperative effort will make it possible to offer a range of new features for Power BI Desktop, which will available in the market on July 24. These features make it possible to post a Power BI Desktop file on the Pyramid Analytics server, which will facilitate simple integration between Power BI Desktop and the Pyramid Analytics server.
