The Tel Aviv property is currently owned by Adv. Adi Levit, who bought it in 2004 for an estimated NIS 8.5 million.

Channel 10 has reported that the famous penthouse in the Neve Avivim neighborhood in Tel Aviv formerly owned by late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and his wife, Leah, is being offered for sale for NIS 20 million by the Sotheby's Israel agency, which does not own the property.

The apartment, which has great sentimental value, measures 226 square meters, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property is currently owned by Adv. Adi Levit, who bought it in 2004 for an estimated NIS 8.5 million; after renovations, its value skyrocketed to NIS 18 million.

Levit was completely unaware that the apartment had been offered for sale. When a Channel 10 reporter asked him for details, he became angry upon hearing the report. When the reporter visited the Sotheby's Israel agency, they hesitated and did not disclose particulars about the property, saying merely that they would "get back to him."

Sotheby's Israel International Real Estate said, "The owner of the property approached Sotheby's at the end of 2014 and signed an exclusive marketing agreement for a limited period. The exclusivity expired in May 2015 but the agreement ordering property brokering services carried no expiry date and the agreement is valid untli today. It should be clarified and stressed that Adv. Levit has not contacted us in any way, and not told us that the property is not being offered, or for sale, and he has not asked us to remove ads on our website."
