Bomb explodes near Jerusalem bus

A pipe bomb exploded today near bus 174 in Jerusalem. The attack took place at the entrance to the city, near Binyanei Ha'uma conference center. Emergency services rushed to the scene. One woman who was critically injured later died of her wounds. Three other injuries were termed serious, and there were numerous other injured people.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat wished the injured a speedy recovery and called on the public to be alert.

Mayor Barkat said, "It's important to return to our regular routines as quickly as possible. When terror attempts to disrupt our way of life, the best solution is to get back to normal as quickly as possible. Events in Jerusalem will not be cancelled and Jerusalem will not stop running."
