Student boycott hits Tnuva sales
Retailers have told "Globes" that sales of Tnuva products fell 7-8% yesterday.
One supermarket said that the drop in Tnuva sales stood out against a 20% increase in sales of dairy products, compared with Thursday. Another supermarket said that sales of Strauss and Tara Dairy products rose 10-11% yesterday.
All three dairy companies have launched sales campaigns to boost consumption after a sharp drop in sales in July.
Meanwhile, students are continuing their protests at supermarkets. This morning, groups of students stood outside supermarkets in Tel Aviv and Ra'anana, include a Shufersal in Ramat Aviv, a Mega in the City on Ibn Gvirol Street, and the Shufersal at Ra'anana Junction. The students distributed flyers to persuade shoppers to boycott Tnuva.
