Israel's first half growth revised upwards

The Central Bureau of Statistics has raised Israel's GDP growth rate to 5.1% in the first half of 2011 from 5%.

The Central Bureau of Statistics has raised Israel's GDP growth rate to 5.1% in the first half of 2011 from 5%. The growth rate slowed from 5.7% in the second half of 2010 and 5.6% in the first half.

Business product growth was revised upward to 5.4% in the first half from 5.2%, down from 6.4% in the second half of 2010 and 7% in the first half. Business product in the construction industry fell in the first half.
