Widemed share jumps on GE order for sleep monitor

Widemed received its first order from GE Healthcare for the new version of its Morpheus Hx sleep monitor for hospitals.

WideMed Ltd. (TASE:WDMD) today announced that it received its first order from GE Healthcare for the new version of its Morpheus Hx sleep monitor for hospitals, launched earlier this year. The system's new configuration is compatible with GE Healthcare's Mars VSL device for the simultaneous monitoring of five tests.

Widemed CEO Anya Eldan said, "The expanded collaboration and new system we launched with GE will provide potential customers with an inexpensive state-of-the-art solution for carrying out sleep tests. The new system's advantages, including its low price, will facilitate to market it in Europe and the Far East."

Widemed's share price rose 20.1% by mid-afternoon to NIS 0.40, giving a market cap of NIS 8.5 million.
