Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE:PHG, AEX: PHI) president and CEO Frans van Houten is visiting Israel to seek business opportunities in the country. He will meet with President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and other government officials
van Houten will also meet the development team of Philips Medical Systems Ltd., which has 600 employees, as well as other Israeli companies for possible collaborations.
Philips executives will discuss with Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Shalom Simhon and ministry officials ways to promote and implement the company's agreement with the Israeli Industry Center for R&D (MATIMOP) on joint ventures with Israeli companies.
