Wildcat strike at Ben Gurion Airport disrupt flights

Flights and operations at Ben Gurion Airport are being severely disrupted as workers demand a solution to the handling of their pensions.

The Israel Airport Authority workers committee today launched a wildcat strike, severely disrupting flights and operations at Ben Gurion Airport. Sources claim that the reason for the strike was the employees repeated demands for a solution to the handling of their pensions, and the corrections of pay distortions, to which there has been no response.

The airport employees briefly went on strike last week for the same reasons, severely disrupting operations. The Ministry of Finance said that it would deal with the matter, and the airport employees returned to work. However, ahead of the holidays next week, the workers have now resumed disruptions.
