Antitrust regulator approves "Globes"-"Ma'ariv" collaboration

"Globes" will produce for "Ma'ariv" and "Makor Rishon" a daily business and economic supplement called "Globes in the Morning" and provide online content.

Antitrust Authority director general David Gilo has approved the collaboration between Hebrew dailies "Globes" and "Ma'ariv" in printing and publication of business and economic content.

Under the agreement, "Globes" will produce for "Ma'ariv" and "Makor Rishon" a daily business and economic supplement called "Globes in the Morning" for "Ma'ariv's daily and weekend editions, and "Globes" economic content will appear on "Ma'ariv's" online edition NRG.

"Globes" correspondents will write a special supplement on current economic affairs, including general news, energy and infrastructures, cars, international economic news, real estate, the capital market, marketing, and advertising. The new product will provide added value for subscribers and enrich the newspaper's content.

Gilo said in his decision, "The arrangement that is the subject of this decision does not restrict competition in a substantial part of the market, which is affected by the arrangement. I believe that its principle does not reduce or prevent competition."
