Mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Rami Levy Communications Ltd. today announced that it has become an official importer of Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL), after negotiations, which "Globes" revealed last month. It will be possible to buy iPhones and iPads on the website of Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006 Ltd. (TASE:RMLI), and, in a few days, at the independent supermarket's branches.
Apple devices can be repaired at Rami Levy branches or at the branches of mobile carrier Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR).
Rami Levy will charge NIS 3,390 for the 16-gigabyte version of the iPhone 5, more than the NIS 3,190 price it charged before it became an official Apple importer. Mobile carriers Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) currently charges NIS 4,000 for an iPhone 5, Partner charges NIS 3,695, Pelephone Communications Ltd. charges NIS 3,990, and Hot Mobile Ltd. charges NIS 3,690.
