ProCognia obtains cGMP compliance for biologics carbohydrate analysis

ProCognia (Israel) Ltd. has obtained a current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) compliance certification for its glycosylation analysis services at its laboratory in Rehovot.

ProCognia (Israel) Ltd. (TASE:PRCG) has obtained a current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) compliance certification for its glycosylation analysis services at its laboratory in Rehovot. The cGMP compliance certificate was granted for company's biologics carbohydrate analysis services using its GlycoScope for biopharmaceutical and biosimilar developers and manufacturers.

The Ministry of Health, a member of the EU Pharmaceutical Co-operation Inspection organization, carried out the cGMP inspection. The inspection concluded that the services provided by Procognia comply with cGMP requirements referred to in the Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (CAA) Agreement between the EU and Israel.

ProCognia CEO Dr. Ruth Ben Yakar said, "This approval enables us to expand our services to in-process manufacturing control, product release, and stability testing, in addition to the services we provide for product development stages."
