Amdocs wins further contract with América Móvil unit

Claro Brazil will deploy products from Amdocs's CES product portfolio.

Amdocs (NYSE: DOX) is expanding its ties with a client in Brazil, with a new contract estimated to be worth a few millions of dollars. The client is wireless carrier Claro Brazil, a wholly-owned subsidiary of América Móvil, a provider of wireless and fixed-line communications services in Latin America.

Claro Brazil will deploy several products from Amdocs' CES product portfolio to modernize and standardize customer ordering, customer management, e-commerce, and product catalog management. Claro plans to increase sales and services that it provides through integrated solutions for sales, orders, and e-commerce. The current contract follows billing and Partner Relationship Management solutions that Amdocs has provided to Claro in the past.

Amdocs, managed by Dov Baharav, provides software solutions for billing and customer relations management. Most of its customers come from the telecommunications industry. In its fiscal year 2009 (ended September 30), Amdocs's sales outside the US and Europe accounted for approximately 11% of the company's revenue, that is, about $310 million.

Amdocs has a market cap of $5.9 billion, after a 6.5% rise in its share price since the beginning of its 2010 fiscal year.
