According to the Ministry of Transport Licensing Department data, 279,698 new cars have been delivered in Israel since the beginning of the year, 14% more than the corresponding period last year. In November alone, 20,958 new cars were delivered, almost the same number as November 2015. Car industry sources estimate that about 290,000 new cars will be delivered by the end of the year, breaking an all-time record.
A breakdown of deliveries shows Hyundai in first place, with 38,686 vehicles, up 30% from the corresponding period. Kia is in second place, with 37,157 deliveries, up 14%. Toyota is in third place, with 29,318 cars, up 4%. Skoda is in fourth place, with 19,364 cars, up 22%. Mitsubishi in fifth place, with 17,277 cars, up 11%, Mazda is in sixth place, with 14,230 cars, up 15%.
