Mobile emergency response co NowForce raises $4.5m

The Israeli startup provides mobile response tools for campus security, private security, and public safety organizations.

Israeli startup NowForce, which has developed comprehensive mobile emergency response solutions, has raised $4.5 million in a Series B financing round. The investment was led by Verint Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: VRNT) with the participation of current investors Winnovation, Indigo Strategic Holding LP and Monet Venture Group Limited.

NowForce offers personal safety applications, cloud-based computer aided dispatch, and mobile response tools for campus security, private security, and public safety organizations, enabling reduced response times, full situational awareness, and enhanced communications.

Based in Jerusalem and with US offices in Washington D.C., the company was founded by CEO Assaf Shafran, COO Anshel Pfeffer, and Jonathan Bendheim.

Shafran said, "This new injection of capital will allow NowForce to continue its aggressive growth in key markets for its dispatch and mobile solution, along with enabling deeper collaboration with Verint's market-leading Situational Awareness Platform."

Verint SVP and general manager, Verint Video and Situation Intelligence Solutions Steve Weller said, "We are pleased to be working together to drive further innovation and technology advancements in the area of situational awareness."
