Incubator HiCenter invests in 4 new projects

The projects range from commercial fish farming to a mobile phone dictionary co.

Haifa incubator HiCenter has invested NIS 8 million in four new ventures, signaling the launch of large-scale activity.

HiCenter operates under the auspices of the Office of the Chief Scientist as an incubator for companies in the commercialization stage rather than the R&D stage, and is not part of the Chief Scientist's incubator program. Hi Center focuses on software, electronics, medical devices, and cleantech. It was founded in 2008 as a subsidiary of the Haifa Economic Corporation, which manages it.

The four ventures are Lexifone, which is developing a multilingual dictionary for mobile telephones; ToyToyToy, an online venture for children, which links websites for actual toys; Subflex, which is developing fish farming in the open sea, even in inclement weather conditions; and PLT, which is developing a more efficient way of welding aluminum components for robotic systems.
